Huawei’s American smartphone deal collapses

Chinese telecommunication giant Huawei said that it hasn’t been able to beat a deal to sell its brand new smartphone through an American carrier. It was reported that it have been in discussion in order to release its flagship mate 10 pro devices with AT&T.

But in a letter issued by reuters, politicians damaged the deal citing security concerns. Last week the America blocked the $1.2bn sale of money transfer company Moneygram to the Ant Financial of China, which is the digital payments arm of Alibaba.

Since the United States of America president Donald Trump came to power, it was considered to be the highest profile deal of China that rejected by Washington.

The Snub is the latest example of a Chinese organization that struggling to do business in the United States.

The chief executive officer of Huawei, Richard Yu said that an audience who attended the CES tech fair, Las Vegas that plans to tie up with a American carrier, but unfortunately had not come to fruition.

However, he didn’t made any comment on why a deal was not proceeding, but told it was a very big loss for our consumers, as they do not have the best choice for devices.

In the United States through popular e-commerce site like Amazon the Huawei Mate 10 Pro’s major competition against Apple’s iPhone & Samsung’s high end handsets are still on the sale.

But the deals with carriers are very essential in the USA because of the majority of smartphones are manly purchased via carriers.

Huawei stated that, “The American market represents showed some unique challenges for Huawei and while US carries will not sold the Huawei Mate 10 Pro and thus we remained committed to this market in recent times and in the future as well.”

As per the Reuters, AT&T was pressured to break down the deal after the American Senate and House intelligence committees 18 members signed letter regulators showing their concerns regarding Chinese firms getting involved in the telecoms of the USA.

In the year 2012, a American congressional panel told that telecom firms of China Huawei and ZTE should be secured from any acquisitions and mergers as the two companies posed a security threat to the United States of America. Huawei is the number three smartphone brand of the world behind Apple and Samsung.
